Street and Footpath Sweeping Program

City of Norwood Payneham & St Peters (the Council) invites tenders from Tenderers for the provision of Street and Footpath Sweeping Services for a three-year period from 1 February 2026 to 31 January 2029 with the option for the Council to extend for a further two-year period.

The Council’s Sweeping Program is an essential service that aims to maintain the cleanliness and safety of the City’s public roads, footpaths, carparks, traffic management devices.

By removing the accumulation of leaves and litter, which can pose hazards to pedestrians, cyclists and motorists, increases public safety and minimises incidents, accidents and claims.

This Program is vital to the City’s stormwater Infrastructure and the environment. By preventing leaves, nuts and other organic material entering into the stormwater Infrastructure, this assists in preventing obstructions that could cause blockages to Sid Entry Pits, Junction Boxes and Gross Pollutant Traps. By minimising debris entering the City’s stormwater network, this also helps with maintaining the quality of our water ways by preventing rubbish, such as plastics and metals to enter our creeks.
