Provision for Front and Cabin Facing Cameras with Cloud Storage and GPS Locating Ability

The Department for Infrastructure and Transport (the Department) is seeking to acquire a secure, fit-for-purpose in-vehicle surveillance solution capable of reliably capturing, managing, and storing high-quality audio, video, location, and other relevant metadata associated with these events as part of implementing the Driver Training Reform (DTR) initiative to strengthen standards within the driver training industry and safeguard learner drivers by addressing instances of misconduct and inappropriate behaviour

The solution will comprise the following components:

• A camera system and its associated peripherals (where applicable) that meet the functional specifications defined by the Department for use by the Department’s internal Government Officers in capturing video footage of driving-licence assessments conducted by them.

• A Video Management System (VMS) that enables the secure ingestion, validation, storage, processing, and management of video footage recorded by any camera system that meets the specifications mandated or defined by the Department.

The Department will consider tender submissions from suppliers for:

• a combined solution comprising both the Camera System and the Video Management System (VMS);

• the Camera System only; or

• the Video Management System only.

Suppliers will be given the opportunity to submit their bids based on either a purchase option or a lease option for the supply of the requirements, with the exception of the VMS which will be purchased outright.

Depending on the evaluation outcomes and alignment with the defined requirements, contracts may be awarded to one or more suppliers.
