ABOUT THE CITY OF LAKE MACQUARIE: Lake Macquarie is the Hunter Region's largest city, accounting for 35% of the Lower Hunter population. With the city's current population fast approaching 217,000 Lake Macquarie is also the third largest regional city in New South Wales by population. Moreover, the city's population is expected to grow by 39,000 by 2041, creating a demand for 12,000 new dwellings and associated infrastructure.
ABOUT THE TENDER: T03974 Blacksmiths Boat Ramp Replacement - Lake Macquarie City Council invites tenders from suitably qualified and experienced contractors for the supply and construction of marine infrastructure, including:
- Construction of One (1) concrete boat ramp.
- Supply and Construction of two (2) floating pontoon jetties with gangways and associated onshore abutments.
- Associated works
This project aims to improve recreational boating access and safety in accordance with Councils strategic infrastructure objectives.
This project aims to replace the existing facility (at its current location) which has reached the end of its service life, with a modern, functional, and high-quality boating facility that meets current accessibility standards and community needs.
BRIEFING: A non-mandatory briefing will be held onsite Blacksmiths Boat Ramp, 139 Ungala Road Blacksmiths NSW 2281, on Thursday 13 November 2025.

TENDERERS TO NOTE: In the preparation and submission of the Tender and without limiting the Tenderers obligations, the Tenderer shall submit a tender which includes all Schedules including the Tenderers Declaration Schedule and any other declaration required to be completely filled in and signed, together with any other documents, information and details necessary to make the tender complete. The tenderer shall not submit a tender without a firm intention to proceed nor engage in any form of collusive practice not directly or indirectly canvass support from an elected member or employee of Council at any time.
CLOSING DATE AND TIME: RFT closes at 2.00pm (Australian Eastern Standard Time AEST) on Wednesday 26 November 2025 and submissions must be received in full prior to this time. The lowest or any offer may not necessarily be accepted. Late submissions are not accepted.
