Health Services

GRC wishes to establish a Preferred Supplier Arrangement (PSA) and/or Register of Pre-Qualified Suppliers (RPQS) to engage qualified and registered health professionals and/or clinics to provide a range of health services. The key objectives is for the approximately 750 GRC employees to have access to high-quality, accessible, and comprehensive healthcare services.

The following health services are required:

Prescription Safety Glasses

GRC requires Optometrists (Service Provider) from time to time to support the health, safety, and wellbeing of its workforce. The objective of these services is to ensure employees maintain optimal visual health, particularly those undertaking roles that involve extended computer use, safety-sensitive tasks, or work environments where clear vision is essential.

Additionally, GRC may engage optometry services in response to workplace health and safety incidents involving eye injuries or exposure (e.g. foreign objects entering the eye) to support appropriate medical assessment and recovery.

On-Site Skin Checks

GRC requires qualified and experienced Service Provider on a PSA to provide the following services annually that include:

• Health professionals to run skin check screening clinics throughout the Gladstone Region;

• Delivery of education to workers regarding checking their own skin;

• Any aftercare recommendations from the assessment (if required); and

• Statistical Reports after completion of the assessments

Selection for a PSA/RPQS gives no guarantee or representative as to the volume or value of orders to be issued by Council.
