Supply of Mystery Shoppers for the Aviation Security Group Covert Testing Programme

The Aviation Security Group as part of Civil Aviation Authority, provides frontline security services based at airports, where they screen passengers and their baggage. The covert testing programme is designed, scheduled and analysed internally to assess the effectiveness of aviation security screening and operational processes.

To support operational delivery of the testing programme, we are seeking to appoint an experienced single external service provider to source, manage, and coordinate a national pool of suitable mystery shoppers (couriers), who can be deployed to any one of the required airports (Auckland, Hamilton, Wellington, Christchurch, Queenstown, Dunedin and Invercargill) at specific dates and times on a regular basis.

Couriers are fully trained and prepared for the required tests by our Quality Assurance personnel. During the test they act as bona-fide passengers attempting to pass through the security system carrying a test item.
