Financial Management Information System

Environment Southland is inviting Proposals for the provision of a Local Government focused Financial Information Management System (FMIS). Our current FMIS is moving toward end of life and needs to be replaced prior to the 2027/28 Financial Year.

Council have identified four core drivers for the new FMIS system

1. Reliable and timely Product support.

2. Improved internal efficiencies, particularly in areas such as e-invoicing, automated invoice processing, and approval workflows.

3. IRIS NextGen integration – we are one of ten Regional Councils committed to the IRIS NextGen programme, with implementation planned for 2028. Replacing the current FMIS prior to the implementation of IRIS NextGen (Datascape Enterprise) is an important precursory step; and

4. A secure, resilient, cost-effective and integrated ecosystem that enables services to be designed around the needs of our customers and allows our people to do their best work
