Pony Paddock Agistment for Part of Lot 15 on SP243869

⁠⁠⁠INTRODUCTION

Central Highlands Regional Council (council) is seeking tenders for the temporary land use for the purpose of agistment of horses on multiple paddocks within Lot 15 on SP243869 at Blackwater.

The agistment will be for a period of one (1) year. The permit fee will be in accordance with Council’s Register of fees and charges 2025-26, as available on Council’s website and as updated at each financial year. Please refer to Part 4 –Trustee Permit for the specifics of the Trustee Permit.

BACKGROUND INFORMATION 

Land Description

Lot 15 on SP243869 is located east of Blackwater and the specific paddocks that are available are known as:

•  Paddocks 7 and 8
•  Paddocks 9 and 10
•  Paddock 18
•  Paddock 27
•  Paddocks 30 and 31
•  Paddock 37
•  Paddock 39
•  Paddock 40
•  Paddock 43
•  Paddock 44
•  Paddocks 45 and 46
•  Paddock 53

As detailed below in Figure 2.

Access to these paddocks is via the most northern point of Dutton Street.

While the land has previously been fenced, Council does not guarantee the fencing is adequate for current use. As detailed within the Trustee Permit, it is the responsibility of the Permittee to ensure the fencing is adequate for the use.

Council further notes that while the land has previously been used for horse agistment, there is no guarantee the paddocks are currently suitable for this use. As detailed within the Trustee Permit agreement, it is the responsibility of the Permittee to ensure the paddock is adequate for the use.

There may be structures located within the paddock. It is the responsibility of the Permittee to ensure these are safe for the horse.

There is no water on site and as detailed within the Trustee Permit, it is the responsibility of the Permittee to legally source water as required.
