Radiation Oncology Services for Central Queensland Hospital and Health Service and Cairns and Hinterland Hospital and Health Service

Background information / Compatibility requirements

Central Queensland Hospital and Health Service (CQHHS) and Cairns Hinterland Hospital and Health Service (CHHHS) are responsible for the provision and management of public health services under the Hospital and Health Boards Act 2011 (QId). As part of its responsibility for public health services, CQHHS and CHHHS may obtain various services from industry providers.

At present, CQHHS and CHHHS have separate contracts for the provision of Radiation Oncology Services across their respective region. Both Radiation Oncology contracts are set to expire in June 2026.

As part of procurement good practice, CQHHS and CHHHS are reviewing delivery model options for Radiation Oncology to their regions. To help inform this review, CQHHS and CHHHS are undertaking this market sounding approach to seek feedback from the market on delivery options.
