Screening and Early Detection Request for Proposal

Country SA PHN is seeking responses to this Request for Proposal (RFP) from suitably qualified and experienced organisations. The successful applicant/s will design, implement and evaluate innovative health screening and early detection activities, which aim to reach priority populations across the Country SA PHN region.

Screening and Early Detection activities will support priority populations to access screening and early detection services across a range of health conditions and infections. These include:

• Type 2 diabetes
• Chronic kidney disease
• Sexually transmitted infections (STIs) and blood borne viruses (BBVs)
• Cardiovascular disease
• Respiratory conditions including asthma and chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD)
• Osteoporosis and frailty

Projects must not duplicate current Country SA PHN commissioned activity or services that are currently funded by other sources. Where there are existing national screening programs, Medicare items (i.e. Heart Health Checks item 699, Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Health Checks item 715) or other funded programs, applicants must demonstrate how their proposed project will improve access to these options for priority populations and not duplicate an existing funding source.
