Immunisation Small Grants Expression of Interest

The purpose of this Expression of Interest (EOI) is to seek responses from general practices, pharmacies, nurse-led services, other immunisation providers and community services organisations that are aiming to improve access to NIP vaccines for priority populations and/or regions where there is low uptake.

The Immunisation Small Grants program will provide the successful organisation with the ability to increase uptake of vaccinations by addressing identified barriers including, but not limited to, out-of-pocket costs, limited appointment availability, lack of opportunities to discuss vaccination with providers and lack of trust in information from immunisation providers.

Activities that are expected to be commissioned through this EOI process include facilitation of free immunisation clinics for priority groups, supported by appropriate health promotion education relating to immunisations. Free immunisation clinics may be delivered within the applicant's practice setting (i.e. general practice), using an outreach model (i.e. immunisation clinic facilitated at a local community event) or using an in-reach model (i.e. immunisations facilitated within a setting that doesn't have access to their own immunisation provider such as a Residential Aged Care Home).
