Design, Development and Construction - External Renewal Works - KGV Centre

The City of Sydney (the City) invites Requests for Tender for the carrying out of the Design, Development and Construction Work for the External Renewal Works - KGV Centre in accordance with this request.

BACKGROUND:

King George V (KGV) Centre was opened in 1999. The northern section consists of a curved steel framed sports hall with sheet metal roofing over two basketball courts. The southern section consists of concrete slab and column construction containing amenities, administration areas, change rooms, gymnasium an dan Out of School Hours Care (OSHC) facility. A continuous glazed facade and and faceted metal fascia link the two parts visually. A number of leaks impact the indoor courts. These leaks create a safety issue on the floor as it becomes slippery resulting in a hazardous surface for players, loss of income when competitions have to be cancelled and potential for decay in the floor.

PROJECT OVERVIEW:

The Works for the KGV Centre must deliver a watertight building. This project will include, but is not limited to, the following:

- Review and complete the design of the Works utilising the Preliminary Design Documents.

- Complete for construction design necessary to undertake the scope of work.

- Scope of construction work includes, but not limited to, site establishment and temporary works as necessary to undertake and deliver the construction works as detailed in this RFT.

Tenderers must submit tenders in the manner required by this document.
