Bridge 4569 Jindong-Treeton Road - Conversion to Culvert

The Shire of Augusta Margaret River (Shire) requires the services of an appropriately qualified contractor to perform a bridge replacement. Bridge 4569 Jindong-Treeton Road is a timber bridge, located at SLK 10.18 Jindong-Treeton Road, Treeton within the Shire of Augusta Margaret River, and sits over the Carbunup River. Main Roads WA have identified the bridge in its renewal program to be replaced with culverts.

A non-mandatory site meeting will be held at 11.00am (AWST) Thursday, 6 November 2025. Please advise Sadie Breslin, sbreslin@amrshire.wa.gov.au by 4.00pm, Wednesday, 5 November 2025 if you will be attending.

• Construction
• Preliminaries
• Prepare project planning, risk analysis, and receive approvals for the Traffic Management plan (if required), Environmental Management plan, WHS documentation, and construction methodology and schedule.
• Advertise the works (Shire assisted).
• Prepare site and mobilisation.
• Design and implement traffic management, and detours including afterhours care.
• Service location and protection.
• Survey set-out.
• The ability to attend 24-hour emergency callouts to the project site to address any issues that arise.
• Site clean-up and demobilisation.
• As constructed Drawings to ASPEC requirements.
• Dust noise and vibration management.
• Site security.
• Provide Gantt chart or similar with program of works
• The Shire will ensure all permits are in place prior to the commencement of works.
• Other works not listed above to achieve the project outcomes required.
• Demolition
• Prior to commencing demolition works, the Contractor must perform service location, as Telstra Services are known to be present in the vicinity of the Structure.
• Implement detour as per the Traffic Management Plan
• All debris from the demolished bridge is to be taken to either Tognose Pit, located off Jindong-Treeton Road at SLK14.76 or Tanah Marah Pit, Tanah Marah Road, Margaret River.
• Installation
• The new bridge 4569A is to be constructed as per the approved engineering drawings and specifications (Appendix 2.1);
• Practical Completion will not be reached until MRWA have inspected and signed off the works.
• Road
• Reinstatement of road

Tenders close at 10.00am (AWST) Monday, 24 November 2025. and submissions must be fully received by this time. Shire of Augusta Margaret River is not bound to accept the lowest priced Tender or all or any part of a Tender and reserves the right to conduct the Request for Tender process and select the successful respondent(s) as it sees fit Shire of Augusta Margaret River staff are unable to respond to verbal enquiries in relation to the proposal. Late, verbal or emailed proposals will not be accepted.
