1. Project Overview

The Malaysian Investment Development Authority (MIDA) Sydney Office is an agency under the Consulate of Malaysia, Sydney. MIDA Sydney is relocating to a new office at Sydney CBD.

This brief outlines the renovation requirements to ensure a functional, professional and welcoming workspace that reflects MIDA’s corporate identity.

2. Objective

The objectives of the renovation are to:

• Create a modern, efficient, and comfortable workspace for staff and visitors.

• Optimise space utilization for both daily operations and meetings.

• Ensure compliance with building and safety regulations.

• Maintain a professional corporate look consistent with MIDA’s image.

3. Scope of Work

a. General Works

• Site preparation and layout modification.

• Partitioning for workstations, meeting room, Director’s and Deputy Director’s room and Investment Officer’s Room.

• Ceiling, flooring, and wall finishing works.

• Electrical wiring, data cabling, and lighting installation.

• Air-conditioning system check and minor adjustments.

• Painting and touch-up as required.

b. Furniture and Fixtures

• Supply and installation of new workstations, storage cabinets and chairs.

• Supply of new office furniture. Please not that existing furniture from the current office such as sofa will be relocated to the new office.

• Conference table and chairs for meeting room.

• Director’s, Deputy Director’s and Investment Officer’s room furniture setup.

c. IT and Electrical

• Network cabling and internet point setup.

• Power point installations

• Placement of printer/ copier and networking equipment.

d. Branding & Signage

• Installation of MIDA logo signage at reception area.

• Wall decals or corporate panels

• Design proposal and layout plan (including furniture placement).

• Timeline and work schedule.

• Cost estimation and quotation (preferably with breakdown by component).

• Compliance with building management’s fit-out requirements.
