The Department of Education (DoE) is calling for tender submissions for the design and construction of a Tuckshop at Bundaberg Special School, located at 1 Dr Mays Road, Norville QLD 4670, as part of the Playground and Tuckshop Grant (PTG) program.
The project consists of the reconfiguration and refurbishment of a classroom, kitchen and laundry space into a Tuckshop and eating area. The works consists of new ceilings, internal painting, new joinery, new electrical, lights and fans, new equipment and a new covered walkway linking the building to the covered area. The position of the building is at the centre of the school with limited site access and working space. All works are to be completed by February 2025.
Tender submissions will be accepted from contractors that meet the following requirements:
• Appropriate QBCC Builders licences to undertake the entire scope of works
• Professional Indemnity Insurance to the value of $ 1,000,000.00
QBCC Licensing and Professional Indemnity Insurance
It is anticipated that a minimum of a QBCC (Low Rise) builders’ licence will be required for this project. Contractors are required to hold Professional Indemnity Insurance in accordance with the contract.
