Tender Description
This contract is a design and construct lump sum contract for the replacement of the old superstructure and barrier of a single span, single lane bridge on Tattersalls Rd over Andersons Creek.
The work includes demolition and removal of the old superstructure, construction of the new superstructure and installation of new guardrail on and off structure.
The existing substructure comprising piled abutments, wingwalls and retaining walls was constructed in 2003 and is considered to be adequate and serviceable to carry a new precast concrete superstructure.
The scope of works to be carried out under this contract comprises the provision of a certified design, drawings and specifications, material, plant and labour of whatever kind necessary for a complete replacement of the existing bridge superstructure.
This will be achieved by constructing a new superstructure (deck/beams) and barriers at the same location in accordance with this Specification and subsequent explanatory details, and to the entire satisfaction of the Superintendent.
