RFT - Fire Alarm Contractor for Site - Fire Alarm Upgrade at Rātā Street School, Naenae, Lower Hutt

Rātā Street School has to deliver a site infrastructure project to upgrade the automated fire alarm system across the site. This work has now been deemed urgent following Health and Safety concerns raised by the school regarding the failing system, with certain areas of the school presently isolated and unable to send alert signals.

The school currently has an array of systems from the original Type 1 bell installation, some Type 2 coverage and small areas of the school with a Type 4 system.

A new and comprehensive Type 4 system will be installed with a new main indicator panel, compliant exterior sounder coverage, lock down facility and direct fire service connection.

The existing security system will have its smoke detectors isolated, disconnected and removed. The monitored system will revert back to intruder detection only.
