Supply And Delivery Of One (1) 8x4 Water Truck

1. INTRODUCTION

The Shire of Mingenew (Shire, Principal) is seeking submissions from suitable Suppliers for the supply and delivery of one (1) new 8x4 Water Truck to be used by our road construction crew for local government road construction and maintenance works.

2. SCOPE OF REQUIREMENTS/WORKS MACHINE

• Operating weight min. 25,000Kg GVM 8x4 Cab Chassis with min. 15,000L water tank capacity

• Must be fitted with ring feeder to tow a dolly, have air brakes connections for trailer and hydraulics for side tipper. (Side tipper tare mass 9400kg, 10 m in length)

• All Trailer Hydraulic, water pump, PTO controls in cab

• Turbo charged diesel engine (240 Kw Approx) advise if AdBlue.

• Provide rated power and torque outputs and comparable fuel consumption figures.

• Automatic Transmission

• Leaf spring suspension.

• Advise Tyre size for drive, steer and spare.

• Wheel nut indicators, wheel chocks, wheel brace and jack

• New min 16,000L water Tank, advise on material type, thickness of tank floor, tank sides, ends and approved baffle system.

• If steel - Tanks exterior to be painted in 2 packs epoxy, tanks internal surfaces with two pack epoxy liner.

• Top fill funnel for standpipe filling, fitted with bolted mesh debris screen, splash guard around front of tank to prevent water run over.

• Advice on tanks pumping equipment and hydraulics inclusive of hydraulic oil tank size and position.

• Hydraulic powered water pump min 2.2 LPM at 80 + psi

• 3 x fan spray heads valves air operated from in cab control box, left Right and Centre sprays.

• 1 discharge outlet with manual valve for water transfer duties.

• 4” rear fill point at chassis level with ball valve, cam lock fitting and cap.

• Pipe work set up with creek suction for self-filling.

• Dribble bar gravity or pressure fed roll grooved removable end caps for cleaning.

• Pressure relief valve on water circuit to prevent cavitation of water pump when sprays are closed.

• Anti slip threads on top of tank for secure footing during maintenance

• Roof mounted handrails and ladder for safe tank access.

• Site gauge for water level

• Manual hose real – 20m

• Hose storage trays

• Rubber floor mats

• All necessary safety, operational and fleet signage

ELECTRICAL WORK

• Headlights on with ignition

• All external lighting to be LED

• 4 x LED tail/stop lights fitted to rear bumper and top of tank.

• LED work lights – low and high mount rear facing

• Amber revolving LED beacons fitted to front and rear top of tank.

• 2 x emergency stops one inside and one of cab.

• Reversing alarm.

• Reversing camera.

• UHF Radio.

• Window tinting.

• Air suspension 150Kg rated driver’s seat with heavy duty canvas seat covers.

• Factory fitted air conditioning for cab with pollen/dust filter

• Cooling system to cope with high operating temperatures

• 2x Externally fitted 9kg fire extinguisher.

• Lockable Battery isolator.

• Jump Start receptacle

• Machine Delivery to Shire of Mingenew Spring Street Depot, Mingenew WA 6522

• Licensed on the Shire bulk licensed code B9510 – common expire 2 July

• Delivery time frame.

• Shire of Mingenew signage (to be discussed with successful tenderer).

TRAINING, WARRANTY, SERVICE AND PARTS

• Provide details of warranty.

• Provide details on how warranty claims, if any will be executed. Plants principal location will be Mingenew

• Provide pricing on consumables (filters and common use parts);

• Provide details of onsite service maintenance intervals and associated costs.

• Advice of any licensing requirements including high risk work license requirements; and

• Provide details of complimentary servicing if applicable
