Ara Poutama Aotearoa (the Buyer) is requesting information from suitably qualified and experienced Suppliers to inform the Department’s approach in procuring a technology solution, to facilitate prisoner communications. We are looking for information regarding solutions that meet the high demands of prison environments, are innovative, meet our vision and have the potential for future expansion.
The Prisoner communications RFI is not just looking for solutions of a like for like replacement of our current Corrections Prisoner Telephone Service, or of fulfilling a minimum entitlement but bringing Ara Poutama Aotearoa into the 21st century. A modern prisoner communications service for Ara Poutama Aotearoa is a human centred solution, focused on enabling meaningful conversation between people in our care, and the people in their corner, whānau or otherwise.
