Request For Tenders : Rail Bridge Row Mine Subsidence

The City of Newcastle (CN) is requesting pricing from mine grouting contractors to complete drilling investigations and mine grouting works at Rail Bridge Row.

The Rail Bridge Row site is the last remaining section of former heavy rail corridor land to be redeveloped on Newcastle's Hunter Street and is earmarked for a mixed-use affordable housing development.

Newcastle is preparing for a significant population increase of over 40,000 by 2041 and CN are working hard to forge a vibrant community where people can access safe, convenient and affordable homes.

Persons willing to fulfil the requirements of the proposed contract is invited to submit a tender to the Council by the deadline, 2pm on Tuesday 11 November 2025 (at the Tender Box). Responsibility for lodgement of completed tender documents by the deadline lies solely with the Tenderer. Tender lodgement information is provided in the tender document. Council is not bound to accept the lowest tender or any tender submitted.

A mandatory pre-tender meeting will be held at 10:00am, Friday 17 October 2025 at the project site. Attendance is at the tenderer’s expense. Failure to attend shall result in the tender not being considered
