Tender Description

Southern Cross University invites Requests For Tender ("RFT") for the Lismore Campus Regional Athletics Facility Development.

The Southern Cross Regional Athletics Facility is a strategic infrastructure project designed to address the critical shortage of athletics facilities in the Northern Rivers region. Located at Southern Cross University’s Lismore campus, the project will deliver a flood-resilient, high-performance (Class 2) synthetic athletics track, ensuring that the community, schools, local clubs, elite athletes, and the broader community have access to year-round training and competition facilities. Supporting athlete pathways and high-performance training providing a structured development pathway from school participation to elite competition, helping prepare local athletes for the Brisbane 2032 Olympics and beyond.

  •  Site technical assessments by third parties to allow tenderers to have an understanding of the site
  •  Drawings to provide indicative layout and design expectations
  •  Draft conditions (to be released in the first two weeks of RFT release.

Summary of Works Overview

This Request for Tender is for the Design Finalisation and Construct of a synthetic Athletics Track at the Maurie Ryan Oval to host Athletic carnivals, training and competition as well as to accommodate academy and international training camps. The following summary of components and specified within the Contract:

  • Design finalisation stage
  •  Project initiation and control of the site
  •  Demolition and/or removal of specified elements
  •  Earthworks and landscaping across the site
  •  Drainage and irrigation
  •  Civil engineering and construction work
  •  Performance surface and warranties
  •  Lights and associated software
  • Ancillary equipment
  •  Project completion, handover and certification
