Online Interactive Platform - Visual DCP

Project goals

Canterbury-Bankstown Council is seeking Expressions of Interest from suitably qualified consultants

As part of the Visual Development Control Plan (VDCP) project, the Council aims to create a public-facing, interactive 3D platform. This platform will help make the Council’s Development Control Plans (DCPs) easier for the community to understand, navigateand apply.

Scope

The purpose of this Expression of Interest (EOI) is to assess the market and identify multimedia companies with expertise to deliver an online interactive platform that:

•  Visualise development types (typologies) across the Local Government Area through clear, stylised 3D models.
•  Allow users to click on a typology to see the relevant DCP controls, access simplified pop-up guidance, and download or link directly to Council’s website for further information.
•  Provide a gamified, engaging interface that brings planning to life with animated features (e.g. moving vehicles, people, contextual city elements).
•  Work alongside Council’s 3D digital model platform, creating a complementary tool where the OIP is typology-driven and the model is geo-referenced.
