IP Australia requires an implementation partner to develop and deliver a public facing generative-AI chatbot to sit on IP Australia’s Beta platform, IP First Response.

Developed by IP Australia’s innovation lab, IPAVentures, the platform helps Australian businesses navigate intellectual property (IP) issues by clearly outlining the user’s potential options.

The partner will build upon the team’s previous experiments and a corpus of relevant information to deliver a secure, compliant, and platform-agnostic chatbot that aligns with Australian Government policies on the responsible use of AI. The chatbot will interpret user questions, generate tailored plain-English responses, and integrate with IP Australia’s existing systems. The work includes co-design, technical development and implementation, limited support to the front-end Drupal developer, and approximately three months of post-launch refinement to ensure performance, accuracy, and user experience meet expectations.

The supplier and any personnel engaged in the delivery of this work should hold, or be eligible to hold, a current security clearance issued by the Australian Government Security Vetting Agency (AGSVA) at a minimum of Baseline level.
