Tender Description

Whyalla City Council (Council) invites appropriately skilled and experienced Contractors (Tenderers) to submit offers (Tenders) to supply a Splash and Play Plaza at the Whyalla Foreshore as described in Section C of PART 1 of the RFT (Works).

SECTION C – ABOUT THE WORKS

In brief, the scope of Works comprises:

  • The project will deliver a destination coastal playground and plaza comprising adventure playbox, outdoor adventure play, flying fox, swings, net crossings, climbing wall, monkey bars, water play features, wave lawn and scooter track, basketball court, landscaping, seating, shelters, lighting and picnic areas, paths and wayfinding; tie-ins to existing SLSC, road, and beach promenade.
  • For more detail on the scope, see the Contract, the Specifications and the Drawings.
  • A defects liability period of 12 months applies to the works, running from the date the whole of the works achieves practical completion.
  • Tenderers should be aware that award of the Contract is conditional upon meeting the full requirements of the Commonwealth Government grants administered by the State Government.

A briefing session will be held at Whyalla Foreshore (adjacent Surf Lifesaving Building), WHYALLA, SA, Australia, 5600 on 9:00 am 21 October 2025.

Notes: Everyone to meet at the front of the Surf Lifesaving Building please. Briefing will be between 9am and 11:30am
