Project goals
This EOI will test the market for recent developments in technologies suitable for traffic light and speeding offences using non-invasive to the road technologies. This will be followed by the testing and evaluation of a subset of the EOI responses.
Scope
The Red-Light Speed Camera (RLSC) must be capable of:
- Detecting traffic signal state in the monitored lane or lanes
- Detecting speed of vehicles in the monitored lane or lanes
- Capturing image(s) and video(s) of the potential offending vehicles for both red-light and speeding offences.
- Capturing and determining the number plate of the potentially offending vehicles
Note: Following both the EOI and evaluation phases, the technology will need to be Gazetted and meet the TfNSW data transfer IS1 protocol before it can be purchased by TfNSW. However, these considerations are not in scope for this EOI or test and evaluation components.
