The ACIC requires the successful service provider to provide independent project and program assurance services. These services will be co-designed and formalised in respective Assurance Plans (prepared and maintained in consultation with the SRO and DTA, if required).

The required services include:

• Applying expertise on ‘what must go right’ in investments, such to support the SRO and management in targeting assurance and maintaining confidence in delivery.
• Conducting health checks on required projects and programs, at intervals agreed by the SRO, and documented in the Assurance Plan.
• Leading delivery confidence assessments (if required) for presentation to the SRO and governance bodies.
• Working with the SRO and management in targeting and leading deeper reviews and analysis into areas of greatest risk. This may include go-live readiness assessments.
• On occasions where it may be required, understand the technical elements of a project or program (e.g., cloud integration, cyber-security, etc.), and ensure these are thoroughly investigated through the assurance review, to inform any remediation actions.
• Monitoring and reporting on management action against assurance recommendations.
