Berths 11 & 12 Concrete Remediation - North Quay, Fremantle Ports, Fremantle

Berth 11 (constructed in 1975) and Berth 12 (constructed in 1967) are located on the northern side of Fremantle Ports Inner Harbour. The berths comprise of a reinforced concrete deck supported by a combination of structural concrete components, including concrete piles and beams. Spanning the entire length of the rear of the wharf there is a steel sheet pile wall. There are bollards, a fender system and timber kerbing along the deck edge, and a timber catwalk on the underside at the front of the wharf which is no longer in use.

Since construction, the concrete components under Berth 11 and 12 have deteriorated significantly and now require concrete remediation of structural components with a high-risk rating, and which display severe signs of concrete degradation.
