Tender Description

⁠⁠⁠Federation Council is an NSW Local Government Council located south of the Murrumbidgee River and abuts the Murray River, west of the regional city of Albury. It covers an area of 5,685 sq kms. The population at the 2021 census was 12,821. The Council was formed in 2016 following the amalgamation of Urana Council and Corowa Council.

The council has 3 main towns of Corowa, Howlong and Mulwala with populations varying from 2000 to 4500. There are also 7 villages that have Council assets. The council is 140kms from north to south and 60kms east to west.

The main administration centre is located in Corowa with a secondary administration centre located in Urana.

Council is responsible to manage 278 km of Regional Roads and 2,034 Local Roads.

Federation Council invites experienced, qualified and accredited Asphalt bitumen contractors to submit a quotation for the Mill and Fill of 3 sections of roadway and installation of a WATTS speed hump for the road network in Howlong. This process involves using a milling machine to remove the top layer of deteriorated Road pavement achieving a clean and smooth surface for a new asphalt overlay for a ride quality, improves structural strength from heavy vehicles and extends the pavement's life.
