Tender Description
Council is seeking the services of a TfNSW accredited, suitably qualified and experienced civil & landscape contractors to construct the Public Domain Upgrade works along Galston Road, Galston. Galston Road is a state road and therefore TfNSW accreditation is mandatory.
The project area is located within the designated road reserve and extends into the adjacent road shoulders. This includes, but is not limited to, existing infrastructure such as footpaths, nature strips, residential and commercial driveways, and a small public play area situated at the corner of Galston Road and Arcadia Road.
The scope of works includes upgrades to both existing and proposed street lighting, along with a range of associated civil and electrical works. Key elements of the project include improvements to car parking - incorporating accessible (disabled) spaces - bus stop upgrades, installation of traffic and wayfinding signage, refreshed pavement markings, and enhancements to pedestrian infrastructure. This also involves upgrades to pedestrian crossings and associated landscape works along the nature strips to improve safety, accessibility, and visual amenity. Overall, the project aims to enhance the functionality, safety, and user experience of the area for pedestrians, motorists, and public transport users. The surrounding precinct includes both residential and commercial properties on either side of the roadway.
The scope of works includes, but is not limited to:
- Project Management and Supervision
- Preliminary and Pre-construction Activities, as required for the work under the Contract
- Provision of all plant, labour and materials
- Site Establishment
- Construction
- Earthworks and Soil Works
- Road pavement reconstruction/adjustment
- Drainage Works
- Concrete Paths, Pads, Driveways and Kerb Works
- Reinstatement of existing driveways
- Refurbishment of Corner Park
- Removal, relocation and installation of Signs
- Streetlights
- Pavement markings and Logos
- Tree removal
- Vegetation and Planting
- Disposal of waste materials including Tipping and Haulage
- Work-As-Executed Drawings and documentation
- Site restoration to equal or better condition
- Demobilisation and Final Cleaning
- All other associated works shown on design drawings not listed above.
- Carry out 26 Weeks of Planting Establishment activities after Practical Completion
- 78 Weeks maintenance period for the plants and vegetation following the establishment.
Note- An addendum containing the technical specifications, indicative construction staging, and some revisions to the lighting plans will be issued after next week. These amendments are not expected to have a significant quantitative impact.

A Tender must be lodged electronically via the portal for Tender submissions prior to the Closing Time as set out in the Tender documents
