Development of New Disability Inclusion Action Plan

Broken Hill City Council is seeking a suitably qualified and experienced consultant to assist Council to develop a new four-year Disability Inclusion Action Plan. The Disability Inclusion Action Plan will assist Council to identify and deliver the community vision as set out in the Community Strategic Plan – Your Broken Hill 2040. In addition, the Disability Inclusion Action Plan must ensure that the requirements of the NSW Disability Inclusion Act 2014 and requirements of the Local Government Act 1993 and related Integrated Planning and Reporting Framework are met.

An on-site visit to Broken Hill will be required for community and stakeholder consultation for the purpose of delivering the plan. Broken Hill is located in regional far west New South Wales, close to the South Australian border and midway between the Queensland and Victorian borders. The nearest population centre is Mildura in Victoria, approximately 300 kilometres in distance to the south on the Murray River. The nearest capital city is Adelaide, approximately 500 kilometres to the southwest.
