Tender Description
Health New Zealand | Te Whatu Ora is seeking proposals from suitable providers to deliver a Peer Led Mental Health and Addictions Day Activity and Daily Living Skills Centre and Advocacy Service in the Wairau (Central Blenheim) community.
The service will:
- Be peer-led and support tāngata whaiora with moderate to severe mental health and addiction challenges.
- Provide a range of daily activities with therapeutic benefits, including opportunities for tāngata whaiora to design and lead activities.
- Offer a consumer advocacy service as part of recovery support.
- Operate from a centrally located, accessible premises (close to health and support services, on public transport routes).
- Include a fully equipped kitchen that meets council food safety and hygiene regulations.
- Be available for seven-day service delivery.
- Be provided in a community setting that is mobile, accessible, and inclusive of people with disabilities.
- Ensure peer lived experience roles are represented at all levels, including leadership and management.
- Encourage connection with whānau and community.
- Be open to collaborative service models
