Percival Pacific Andrews bird Avian Care Queens Garden

Townsville City Council is seeking to engage a suitably qualified and experienced contractor to manage the avian care tasks at the Percival Pacific Andrews Bird Aviary located Queens Gardens, Paxton Street Townsville. Service is essential to ensure the birds within the aviary are always maintained in a healthy and happy condition.

The original aviary was a very important part of Queens Garden offering the public a relaxing quiet place for reflection from the day-to-day workloads. The intent of the aviary is to offer the public an asset with the feel of nostalgia being formed by the heritage look of the building.

Townsville City Council believes this facility will be one of the focal points for the public to come and visit within the gardens. Councils understanding is that the aviary can offer many other attractions such as school/university educational facility, public educational facility and / or bird display/shows for the public.
