Tender Description
The City of Norwood Payneham & St Peters (the Council) invites an open tender for general civil works required each year as part of the Council's Annual Capital Works Program.
The objective of this contract is to engage a secondary contractor possessing extensive civil capabilities to support the implementation of the Capital Works Program.
The Scope of Works may include, but is not limited to:
- Pre-work site inspections
- Residential / business notifications
- Pedestrian & traffic management setup including associated permits
- Saw cutting, excavation and base preparation (including dumping of existing materials).
- Construction of concrete (and bluestone) kerbs & gutters > 15lm, spoon drains, kerb ramps. Upper limits TBD, but larger areas covered in the Kerb Construction contract.
- Stormwater drainage connections, including installation of TREENET Inlets.
- Verge (nature strip) reinstatement.
- Footpath paving > 20m2. Upper limits TBD, but larger areas covered in the Footpath Renewal contract.
- Pavement patching > 5m2. Upper limits TBD, but larger areas covered in the Road Resurfacing contract.
- Traffic control devices, installation of signage, etc. and
- Removal of redundant driveway crossovers.
In addition to the above, the successful tenderer may have the opportunity to construct larger sections of infrastructure to assist the primary providers in the timely delivery of the broader Capital Works Program.
The Contract will be a Schedule of Rates Contract for a term of three financial years (i.e. 2025-2026, 2026-2027 and 2027-2028 ).
