Brownlow Hill Loop Rd - New Bridge

Wollondilly Shire Council are seeking Tenders from appropriately qualified, licensed and experienced Tenderers for the design finalisation and construction of a new bridge and road reconstruction at Brownlow Hill Loop Road across the Mount Hunter Rivulet. This project includes the finalisation of design of the bridge from the 50% schematic design documents provided in the tender.

Once a complete design is finalised and approved for construction by WSC, the contractor is to implement the final design.

The construction will include the careful removal of the remaining heritage bridge structure components from the remnant bridge trestles and remnant timber components within the water course. The installation of bridge abutments, pre-cast concrete bridge deck, guardrail, handrail and road reconstruction to Council standards, whilst maintaining a functioning road crossing on the existing temporary causeway.

The contractor will be required to demolish the temporary causeway and create two discrete areas within the road reserve, on the old causeway alignment for the display of two mock-up trestles to match the design size and scope of the removed heritage bridge trestles. These heritage displays will be accompanied by information signage to recognise the heritage significance of the removed bridge.

Tenderers are to submit a tender based on the attached plans and documentation included within this RFT.
