Activation Proposals, Markets and Events in Liverpool CBD

Liverpool City Council is seeking expressions of interest for external event organisers who can support Council in their vision of an activated, vibrant and thriving CBD.

Macquarie Mall, Liverpool is transforming into a special event precinct with a long-term objective to enable sustainable activation through regular events that will seed and attract improved dining outlets, retail, and development.

Council is inviting proposals from experienced event organisers to deliver creative, high-quality, and accessible activations that celebrate Liverpool’s diverse community, attract visitors, and enhance the local economy.

Events may include but are not limited to markets, festivals, performances, cultural celebrations, live music, art-based activations, food experiences, and family-friendly activities. Successful applicants will demonstrate proven experience in delivering safe and professional events, the capacity to engage diverse audiences, and an ability to collaborate with Council and local stakeholders.

Through this initiative, Council aims to foster an ongoing calendar of events that will establish Macquarie Mall as a premier cultural and entertainment destination in Western Sydney.

Venue hire fees will apply to successful applicants. Council will provide venue access and guidance, while organisers remain responsible for planning, resourcing, and delivering their events.
