Tender Description

Scope: 

The works include supply, delivery and storage of all materials necessary to complete the Works required for this work package.

All works shall be completed in accordance with the recommended mitigation measures and controls identified in the individual Review of Environmental Factors (REF) for each main listed for construction (Volume 4 – Documents for Information), including undertaking works in accordance with Shoalhaven Water Heritage discovery protocol (Volume 4 – Documents for Information).

It is the responsibility of Shoalhaven Water to provide a constant supply of water to its customers. Accordingly, where applicable, temporary services are to be implemented by the Contractor to maintain water supply.

General

  • Site mobilisation;
  • Sediment control;
  • Submission for approval and implementation of all safety, quality and environmental management plans required under the Contract;
  • Preparation and submission of trenchless design documentation, confirming Principal concept designs and confirming pipe pressure class, encasing pipe requirements, water main vertical profile and size/location of entry/exit pits;
  • Obtain all necessary legislative approvals as required by relevant Acts;
  • All survey to set out and maintain the works;
  • All dewatering required to enable completion of the scope of works;
  • Coordinate works with those being undertaken by Others;
  • Obtaining all s138/ROL approvals from RMS/TfNSW and Shoalhaven City Council, to work in the road reserves;
  • Including stripping and stockpiling of topsoil along the pipeline route and disposal of all excess spoil and/or drill fluid/slurry;
  • Rock excavation and disposal (WUC) for applicable extent of the main and associated infrastructure;
  • The Contractor will need to allow for adequate traffic management controls and to restore the road as per the requirements of Council’s s138 Approval;
  • Identification and protection of existing services in the vicinity of the new main (via a Class A Utility Survey);
  • Reinstatement of concrete footpaths, fencing, kerb and channel etc as/if applicable;
  • Reinstatement of road pavements as/if applicable;
  • Removal of any trees and vegetation where required (as prescribed and permitted in the REF found in Volume 4 – Documents for Information). The Contractor is responsible for determining the relevant trees for removal and/or trimming in accordance with the REF within Volume 4 – Documents for Information and shall ensure that their submitted price allows for such removal/trimming;
  • Removal or trimming of any trees and vegetation required to perform the works as outlined in the Contract Documents.
  • Protection of Hollow bearing trees within REF/Drawings study area;
  • Reinstatement of construction area including where applicable, land scarification and seeding with agreed pasture seed mix.
  • Hydrostatic testing;
  • Installation of new markers as per the WSAA Water Supply Code and the Water Marker SOP;
  • Demobilisation and site clean-up; and
  • Provision of WAE drawings.
  • Installation and connection of existing meters.
  • The Contractor shall install, maintain and remove (upon completion) all temporary fencing during the construction.
  • The Contractor shall reinstate all fencing if disturbed during construction.
