Cobar CBD Upgrade Project

Cobar Shire Council is inviting tenders from experienced and qualified Lead Design Consultants to develop technical design documentation for the Cobar CBD Upgrade project.

This project will review and build on the work that was undertaken in the 2023 Cobar CBD Masterplan, to address key challenges and revitalise the Cobar CBD Upgrade project, strengthening community infrastructure and cultural identity.

Cobar Shire Council is seeking to procure Principal Design Consultant services, preferably with regional council experience, for the Council's CBD Upgrade project. Council will be providing project management services for this initiative.

The services under this engagement include, but are not limited to, the following:

• Appointing a Principal Design Consultant responsible for delivering comprehensive architectural/ landscape design services, as well as engaging, coordinating, and managing relevant sub-consultants required to complete the works.

The scope of work encompasses providing experienced consultancy services throughout all project phases (except construction), starting from concept design, through design development, approvals and tender documentation preparation.

The scope also includes the engagement, management, and coordination of sub-consultants across various disciplines, which may include:

• Structural and Civil Engineering Services
• Landscape Design
• Heritage Architect
• Electrical Engineering Services
• Civil Engineering Services
• Hydraulic Engineering Services
• Statutory Planner
• Acoustic Engineering Services
• Quantity Surveying

NOTE: it is highly desirable to engage sub-consultants with relevant experience in regional areas, community facilities, and sustainable design practices.
