Transmission Sewer Renewals (WVBS) FY2026 - Registration of Interest (ROI)

This ROI relates to the procurement of construction works (supply, install, test and pre-commission) of transmission wastewater renewals and associated infrastructure.

Watercare have committed to renewing a portion of the Wairau Valley Branch Sewer (WVBS) consisting of investigations and rehabilitation. WVBS carries flows from Devenport, Wairau, Takapuna, and other Eastern catchments of the North Shore toward Rosedale Wastewater Treatment Plant. In addition to the pipeline rehabilitation, 600m of the WVBS requires CCTV investigations to supplement future transmission renewal works, further developing a resilient system to proactively identify assets requiring rehabilitation.

Watercare is inviting competent contractors who can deliver this work to Watercare standards. Contractors need to demonstrate relevant experience delivering wastewater network renewal physical works and pipeline rehabilitation, and must understand the importance of stakeholder engagement and its influence on project success.
