Preferred Supplier Arrangement For Supply and Installation of Water and Wastewater Infrastructure Electrical Equipment

Toowoomba Regional Council is seeking to establish a preferred supplier arrangement for the design, supply, installation and commissioning of water and wastewater infrastructure electrical equipment.

About

Toowoomba Regional Council (TRC) is one of Australia's medium scale water and sewerage service providers. Council currently provides water and sewerage services to over sixty-four thousand (64,000) customers across a service area comprising the region from north of Yarraman to south-west of Millmerran, including the city of Toowoomba. Council has approximately 300 water and wastewater sites across the region, including treatment plants, pump stations, reservoirs, bores, communication and instrumentation sites.

Council is currently undertaking a significant project to upgrade or replace the control system at each of its network sites over the next six (6) years. In addition to this project, Council is continuously working to deliver new infrastructure to accommodate population growth throughout the region.

Purpose

Council issued this request for offer with the objective of establishing a long term preferred supplier arrangement with suitably skilled suppliers who will be utilised for the design, supply, installation and commissioning of electrical infrastructure during this term. Council does not guarantee any work under this engagement.

Scope

The scope includes:

• Design of electrical infrastructure at Council's water and wastewater network sites
• Supply of electrical infrastructure equipment for these sites
• Installation of electrical infrastructure at these sites
• Commissioning of electrical infrastructure at these sites

Contract Terms and Conditions

Projects involving electrical infrastructure works which also require construction activities may be awarded under other procurement arrangements. In these instances, principal contractors will be notified of the preferred vendors approved from this panel arrangement, noting the benefits of understanding Council's standards and processes that they will have. The principal contractor will not be required to use vendors approved from this panel arrangement.
