Port Huon Sports Centre Changerooms Upgrade

The Huon Valley Council invites submissions from suitably qualified tenderers to construct new changerooms facilities at the Port Huon Sports Centre, 4421 Huon Highway, Port Huon. The existing facilities are not currently suitable for individuals with mobility impairments or people with disability and this project aligns with Councils Strategic Goal 1: An empowered, healthy and connected community.

The Port Huon Sports & Aquatic Centre (PHSC) was constructed from a converted storage shed, previously used by the APM pulp mill, in the 1980's. The changerooms component of the sports centre's conversion is a blockwork on slab construction, with a timber framed ceiling supporting office accommodation above.

Council's intention is to complete this project whilst the Huon Valley's other aquatic facility (Huonville Pool) is operating its summer season. The PHSC will remain open during the project, with HVC to supply temporary shower and toilet facilities for patrons wishing to use the facility in its reduced capacity.

Tenderers are requested to complete the Tenderer's offer Part D including providing a lump sum price to undertake the works in accordance with RFT228 - PHSC Changerooms Upgrade.
