Tender Description

The Hills Shire Council is currently seeking appropriately qualified and experienced respondents for the provision of services outlined in the specifications. 

The Hills Shire Council wishes to engage the services of a suitable qualified and experienced Contractor to resurface the tennis courts at Crestwood Reserve, Baulkham Hills. The scope involves the removal and disposal of the six existing tennis court surface, replacement with a new synthetic turf surface and all associated works. See scope of works below for further details. 

SCOPE OF WORKS

PRELIMINARIES

• Preliminaries including services search, site establishment, temporary fencing, environmental controls, dilapidation report.

• Project program – due to the excessive use of the courts, the works will need to be sequenced to ensure 3 courts always remain available for use.

DEMOLITION

• Demolition of the existing tennis courts – pull up, remove and dispose of all six (6) existing sand filled synthetic turf courts (sand included) to a facility approved by the NSW EPA.

• A hold point shall be established when the existing synthetic surface has been removed, and the sub-base has been revealed. The contractor shall notify council’s Project Officer with 2 days’ notice to conduct a visual survey of the existing base prior to the laying of new synthetic turf.

SYNTHETIC PLAYING SURFACE

• Supply synthetic turf to be laid over existing base.

• Install synthetic turf with white inlay line marking for all tennis courts.

a) Product to be Omni-Pro 17mm colour: green with white inlaid lines.

b) White inlaid lines to be as per Tennis Australia (Tennis Infrastructure Planning – planning, design & delivery resource) club/recreation size

c) Synthetic turf is to be fixed with an approved solvent based outdoor adhesive.

d) Joins in synthetic turf are to be taped with approved seaming tape in accordance with manufacturers recommendations.

• Finished synthetic turf is to be infilled with ACI dry sand Granusil 4005 or similar approved. Sand shall be evenly spread and worked into the pile, groomed to finish.

MAINTENANCE

• Within 6 to 10 weeks after handover check infill levels for optimum playability.

• Undertake sand level adjustment if needed and conduct further groom.

MISCELLANEOUS

• Clean the site and leave in a neat and tidy condition following completion of the works.

• Provide a warranty, O&M manuals and certification on installation and the product.

OPTIONAL TIEM: COURT SLEEVES AND POSTS

• Supply and installation of new post sleeves and posts

• Supply and installation of new centre band anchor points

RATES TO BE PROVIDED:

• Manual excavation for sub-base pre (100mm depth)

• Manual prep install and compaction sub-base (100mm depth)

• Supply and installation of sand and cement subbase leveling top layer
