Renmark Paringa Council requires the demolition and disposal of the existing pool plant infrastructure and the design, supply, install and commissioning of new compliant pool water filtering, heating, and treatment infrastructure for the Alan Coulter Recreation Centre located on Fifteenth Street, Renmark.
The existing indoor pool facility at the Alan Coulter Recreation Centre was updated in 2019 with plant upgrades deferred. Currently the existing plant infrastructure is considered old and nearing its design life, requiring an upgrade. The pool volume is approximately 145m3.
The proposed pool plant replacement will involve designing and installing a new system for filtering, heating, and chemically treating the existing pool water to meet health regulations and user needs. The project will encompass a new shed facility, plumbing, filtration, chemical dosing, and energy management considering a prioritised power supply sourced by solar power and battery combination with a power line feed if required. Key components of the remediation works will include skimmers, sumps, pumps, filters, heat exchangers, and monitoring systems that ensure water quality by regulating pH and chlorine. Compliance with the National Construction Code (NCC) and relevant Public Health Regulations is mandatory for this project.
The Council will enter into a Contract for Services with the successful Tenderer. An example contract is attached to this tender package for the purposes of tendering.
