Use of Facilities at the Sydney Academy of Sport

This RFP seeks to identify and select organisations interested in partnering with the Office Sport as major long term facility users at Sydney Academy of Sport

Project goals

The main project outcome is to identify major long term facility users to assist the Office of Sport in achieving the objective to optimise the sport and recreation-based use and revenue generation of the Sydney Academy of Sport, while also supporting existing sport and recreation programs, residents, other clients of the Academy, and the wider community.

The RFP outcome sought is a holistic Academy solution that best meets these objectives and value for money.

In achieving the project outcome the Office will also ensure that facility use aligns with the five focus areas of the Office's Strategic Plan 2024-2028 - Sector Growth, Facilities and Space, For all People, Partnerships and Investment and Organisation Development.

Scope

Facility use available at the Academy may include:

a) use of existing facilities as is

b) repurposing existing facilities

c) development of new facilities

d) a combination of the above

In addition to use of existing facilities, the Office is open to the spaces offered for facility use being re-purposed or redeveloped for new sport / recreation facilities. Re-purposing or redevelopment could range from minor capital investment such as establishing new goalposts through to significant capital investment such as building a new facility.

Briefing and site tours will be held at Sydney Academy of Sport at the following dates and times:

• Briefing & Site Tour No.1 - Monday 15 September at 2:00 pm
• Briefing & Site Tour No.2 - Monday 22 September at 2:00 pm

Organisations can choose to attend one briefing, not both. Attendance at the briefing is not mandatory but strongly encouraged.
