Fishing Boat Harbour Precinct of the Port of Geraldton Land known as Lease 1 Marine Fuel Distribution and Related Activities

Mid West Ports Authority (MWPA) is inviting Expressions of Interest (EOI) from organisations and/or other interested parties to manage and operate the marine fuel supply and storage facilities and facilitate fuel distribution to marine customers within the Port of Geraldton’s Fishing Boat Harbour (FBH).

The objective of the EOI is to identify interested parties and to determine optimal operators of the existing fuel supply infrastructure within the FBH with a view to:

• manage fuel storage, supply and refuelling infrastructaure

• operate and maintain the land and associated lease and licence infrastructure

• ensure reliable, safe and consistent supply of fuel within the FBH

• ensure compliance with applicable laws, regulations and Australian standards (for example AS1940 – the storage and handling of flammable and combustible liquids)

• provide FBH vessel owners with access to optimal fuel pricing

• contribute to the provision of services to the FBH operations and users

• operating to best effect the MWPA fuel supply infrastructure, inclusive of

     o a fuel storage facility

     o connecting pipelines

     o refuelling infrastructure

• support and generate economic activity within the FBH precinct

• supporting the existing and future growth of the FBH

• supporting the development of the FBH as outlined within MWPA’s FBH Development Plan published in 2023
