Vivid Sydney Operations Manager (Event Access & Community Programs)

The Operations Manager (Event Access & Community Programs) works collaboratively with the Vivid Sydney Festival Director, Head of Projects, Operations Manager - Infrastructure and Logistics, Production Manager – Light and other relevant Destination NSW and Vivid Sydney staff to effectively strategise, develop, manage and implement Vivid Sydney’s traffic management and stakeholder engagement programs.

Scope

The attached Request for Quotation sets out in detail the full scope of services required by Destination NSW. Respondents should carefully consider this detail and ensure that responses address all criteria.

Major Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

• Traffic Management

o Development and delivery of Vivid Sydney Traffic and Pedestrian Management Plan and program with the contracted supplier and is conjunction with the Head of Projects.

• Development and delivery of stakeholder engagement programs:

o Vivid Sydney Access & Inclusion Program – Vivid Sydney is committed to ensuring that Australia’s largest event remains accessible and inclusive for all. Focus areas include; accessible infrastructure and facilities, transport options and services, cultural diversity, development of accessible and inclusive programming / events and accessible content, marketing, media, signage and collateral.

o Vivid Sydney Sustainability Program – The Vivid Sydney sustainability program includes various initiatives to minimise the environmental impacts of the event, focusing on key areas such as; energy, waste, materials, water, transport and social impact.

o Vivid Sydney Volunteer Program – Vivid Sydney engages industry leading suppliers to recruit, train, brief and manage a large Volunteer workforce committed to delivering exceptional customer service to Vivid Sydney event attendees.

o Vivid Sydney Stakeholder Engagement Program – Vivid Sydney is committed to minimising the impact of the event on local residents, non-event community and businesses. Through a planned and integrated stakeholder engagement and communications program, Vivid Sydney informs these stakeholders of key event information and changes to “business-as-usual” such as road closures, major works and restricted access.
