The Services to be supplied or performed in accordance with the Proposed Contract includes but is not limited to general care of gardens and grounds, cleaning of external pavement, internal courtyards

Scope:

SWSLHD has sort to engage with a supplier/s with relevant experience, skill and the applicable insurances for the provision of gardens and grounds maintenance in line with the NSW Work Health & Safety Act 2011; and NSW Work Health & Safety Regulation 2011. SWSLHD is aware of its requirement under the WHS Act 2011 s.46 to consult, co-operate and coordinate with other duty holders to eliminate or mitigate as far as is reasonably practicable the risks posed by identified hazards.

The Supplier must provide lawn maintenance services in a responsive, effective, and efficient manner to meet SWSLHD Engineering Services responsibilities in the care and management of its Facilities’ and on request horticultural and associated Assets.

The Supplier must therefore, at a minimum:

a) ensure SWSLHD Engineering Services receives a timely and effective service;

b) ensure maintenance takes place in accordance with an agreed timetable;

c) ensure minimum disruption to Hospital patients, visitors and staff;

d) maintain the health and appearance of all horticultural Assets;

e) ensure that service areas are left in a safe, functional, clean and tidy condition;

f) provide and maintain a safe working environment and system of operation so as to protect its, patients, visitors and the hospital staff and users against accidents and conditions injurious to health;

g) carry out works in an environmentally responsible manner
