This tender opportunity relates to P-RFT-2009542. Destination NSW is procuring for Technical Projections and Operations for the VIVID Light Experience.

Project goals

Destination NSW launched the Visitor Economy Strategy 2035 on 27 August 2025 (VES). The VES sets targets including a target of $91 billion in visitor expenditure by 2035, 8.5 million aviation seats, 40,400 new accommodation rooms statewide and 150,000 new jobs across the visitor economy.

One of the core strategic pillars of the VES is to Drive Growth Through Events and a key deliverable action under that pillar is to deliver a year-round events calendar including the marquee winter event of Vivid Sydney. This procurement is integral to the delivery of the Vivid Sydney event, and, in particular, to the Vivid Light experience.

Scope

This Procurement is for:

(a) Part A Projection Services

Services for the design and technical supply of large-scale projection mapping of numerous buildings located on the Vivid Sydney Footprint.

(b) Part B LED Screens & Technical Services

Services for the design and technical supply of LED Screens across the Vivid Sydney footprint, Studio recording of Audio-Visual Descriptions and Variable Message Board System Control.

The respondent may tender for (a) only, (b) only or both (a) and (b).

The respondent will be responsible for proposing buildings/locations within the Sydney CBD skyline for activation and outline new, creative and innovative ways that this canvas can be used to create a spectacular feature and backdrop to the Vivid Sydney Light Walk which extends from the Sydney Opera House to The Goods Line.
