The National Heavy Vehicle Regulator (NHVR), established in 2013 as a statutory authority to administer the Heavy Vehicle National Law (HVNL), plays a pivotal role in fostering a safer, more efficient, and sustainable heavy vehicle industry.
As a statutory authority, the NHVR administers the national regulatory framework for heavy vehicles (road transport exceeding 4.5 tonnes) across all participating jurisdictions which applies in all states and territories except the Northern Territory and Western Australia.
With our focus on enhancing productivity, safety, and compliance, we strive to streamline regulatory processes that enable safer road networks, reduce industry burden, and support the resilience of the supply chain.
The objective of this Request for Information (RFI) for the Peripheral Camera Technology project is to seek information on innovative, compliance-focused camera and camera-adjacent technologies that can either enhance the value of our existing assets or create new opportunities.
At this stage, the NHVR is only seeking information from qualified suppliers who can deliver the services as identified within attached RFI documents.
