SPRI is seeking to replace the current National Animal Identification & Tracing (NAIT) solution with a modern fit-for-purpose technology solution capable of supporting NAIT legislative requirements while also providing an easy to use interface for a wide range of user groups including farmers, meat processors, stockyards and animal importers/exporters.

In addition to the design and build of the technology solution, we're also seeking to identify a suitably qualified and experienced service provider to:

- Implement the replacement NAIT solution

- Support and maintain the new solution

- Deliver enhancements to the new solution as part of the NAIT programme enhancement roadmap.

The purpose of this RFP is for OSPRI to obtain RFP responses from suitably qualified and experienced managed service providers to provide the services outlined above.

We highlight the following attributes of this opportunity which we consider should be considered in choosing whether to respond to this RFP:

- OSPRI is looking for a long-term partnership to deliver and support the NAIT Replacement Solution over a period of five years or more.

- We maintain a roadmap of NAIT enhancements, which will require ongoing enhancement of the NAIT solution and a pipeline of work for the selected service provider.

- The NAIT Information System is a system of national importance. It may be expanded in the future to support a wider range of animals and a wider range of identification and tracing use cases.
