The Auditor-General for NSW is seeking to appoint a suitably qualified firm/individual to conduct a performance audit on icare's workers compensation claims management services. The objective of the performance audit is to assess the efficiency and effectiveness of icare’s claims service providers (CSPs) in delivering workers compensation claims management services for the Treasury Managed Fund. The details of the audit scope will be determined in consultation with the audited entities
The audit is scheduled to commence in November 2025, with the intent of issuing the final report by 30 June 2026.
Scope
The audit will be conducted in accordance with Standard on Assurance Engagements ASAE 3500 Performance Engagements, and in a manner consistent with the Audit Office of NSW’s legislative and methodology requirements.
The appointed firm/individual will be responsible for conducting all phases of the audit, including: planning; fieldwork; analysis of audit evidence; preparing audit findings; and preparing the draft report.
Additional details/instructions
This is an EOI to register your interest to participate in a future Request for Quote (RFQ). A full proposal is not required at this stage.
The Audit Office will review the EOIs and invite shortlisted firms/individuals to participate in a future RFQ. The formal RFQ is expected to be released by late September 2025.

Please provide a high level capability statement demonstrating your experience and capability in delivery performance audits (or equivalent) into claims management handling. Please outline any experience in the insurance sector.
