SERVICE REQUIRED:

Northern Beaches Council (Council) invites tenders for the provision of pavement cleaning. The service contributes towards Council's Public Waste and Cleansing Services program, to present public places to the highest standard of cleanliness and amenity.

The scope of the tender includes:

Scheduled cleaning of public pavements as specified in Attachment E1 Pavement Cleaning Areas and Schedule, and Attachment E2 Pavement Cleaning Area Maps. This component provides scheduled cleaning of high-use pavements.

Reactive cleaning of public pavements as directed by Council. This component provides additional cleaning in response to spillage incidents, accumulation of bird/animal waste, preparation or cleanup of major event sites and other special projects.

It is estimated that scheduled cleaning accounts for approximately 95% of the services, and reactive cleaning works account for approximately 5% of the services.

Specifications for the required services are described in Part D Service Requirements.

The Contract term will be three (3) years, with two (2) extensions at Council's option of one (1) year each.

The expected start date is early November 2025.
